Our pastor

Bishop Alphonso Guice Jr. is the proud Senior Pastor of the New Fellowship Baptist Church. He is
married to Marla Kay Guice, father of 2 children and grandfather of 3.

 

Under his leadership, New Fellowship has grown from 15 members to over 200 active members
where community feedings and recovery counseling is provided. God has also blessed the
church with over 15 active ministries that serve to help advance the “Kingdom of God”.

 

Bishop Guice Jr. has established the New Fellowship Community
Center partnered with The Urban Oasis Community Events Center in the North-Linden area of Columbus, Ohio. This ministry prepares the community for discipleship in Out-Reach for Christ while providing Christ-centered education, fellowship, spiritual nurturing and service for the Kingdom of God. Bishop-Designate is also the founder of God Focused Ministries.

 

Bishop is a diligent servant in the community as:

• President of South Scioto Academy Charter School Board of Directors.

• Treasurer of the Baptist Pastors Conference of Columbus and Vicinity.

• President of the Minister, Deacon, Trustee Institute of the Eastern Union Missionary Baptist Association, Inc. and Auxiliaries (EUMBA).

• Midwest Providential Bishop of Christian Education within Global United Fellowship International where Bishop Neil C. Ellis is the Presiding Prelate.

 

Bishop Guice, Jr. holds a bachelor’s degree from Wilberforce University in Information
systems. He holds a Master of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus Ohio, and is
currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
He is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
